On-Line Livestream Webinar Series 1: Strategy 2 Execution
Introduction - A Case Study

Manchester City FC won the English Premier League in seasons 2018 and 2019, and were the first team ever to achieve 100 points. But in their first season under legendary head coach Josep (Pep) Guardiola, the players and coaching staff had struggled to understand his strategy, let alone execute it!
It felt strange, unfamiliar. Players were tested for their abilities and were left behind, drills and disciplines were introduced to instill new beliefs about how football (or soccer) should be played, and new fitness and nutritional routines were introduced. But it looked weird on the pitch.
Ask the players today, and you will find each of them knows what to do, how to do it and why to do it (Simon Sinek in reverse!). And they believe in the vision. They believe in the strategy.
